ADAPTARAP™ is a unique innovation in hoof care. The labour-saving dissolvable hoof bandage feels and looks like plastic but is made from a starch-based material that is fully biodegradable. The non-elastic material ensures a close fit as slight pressure can be applied during wrapping of the foot without increasing the risk of pressure wounds.

PRODUCT BENEFITS:
DISSOLVES – ADAPTARAP naturally dissolves between two hours and five days after application, depending on the environment and situation. This helps reduce stress on the animals, eliminates additional time for bandage removal and is safer for farm staff¬ by avoiding additional animal handling. It also helps reduce the risk of infection relapses and pressure wounds which can occur when removal of conventional bandages is not completed in a timely manner.
ADAPTS – Moisture determines the rate at which ADAPTARAP dissolves. In high moisture environments the bandage will dissolve at a faster rate, preventing water and dirt accumulation which can otherwise promote wound reactivation and lesion relapse. It also helps reduce the risk of skin damage resulting from footbath chemical accumulation. In dry environments ADAPTARAP is likely to stay longer, which beneficially increases treatment contact time.
SAFE – ADAPTARAP is not elastic and therefore will not stretch during application. This helps decrease the risk of pressure wounds.
BIODEGRADEABLE – ADAPTARAP is completely biodegradable. This unique feature results in zero accumulation of residues and removes blocking and wrapping concerns with manure handling equipment. It also reduces clinical waste that might require special disposal procedures.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
The multipolymer construction of ADAPTARAP gives the footwrap a unique feel like plastic and the non-elastic nature ensures a close fit as slight pressure can be applied during wrapping of the foot without increasing the risk of pressure wounds.
The design of ADAPTARAP helps ensure a minimum amount of contact time between the treatment and the skin, with the footwrap dissolving between two hours and five days from application. The persistency can be extended by increasing the number of turns around the foot.
During application, wrap in between the toes and around the foot but avoid completing more than 360 degree turns around the leg without passing between the toes each time. This will speed up the process of self-removal. Also, try to cover up to just below the dewclaws at the back of the leg so the wrap does not slide off during the treatment period. Once wrapping is finished, just wet the tail end of the wrap with water and it will stick to itself by applying slight pressure.
